A recent study on the mobile market revealed that Google’s Android has become far and away the most popular mobile operating system in the world with Android phones commanding about 52.5% (more than half) of the smartphone market share.
Personally, I’ve always been a fan of Android. Some people say that the operating system’s big growth years are behind it but I strongly believe that Android’s years of glory are still ahead of it simply because the open and customizable nature of the Android operating system allows it to be used on most electronics including smartphones, tablets, laptops, netbooks, wristwatches,washing machines, microwave ovens and many other devices. So don’t be surprised if in the future, your car dashboard runs Android. As a matter of fact, the Roewe 350 has Android installed on the vehicle’s GPS computer. Just imagine Android in your car allowing you to make phone calls, play music, GPS navigation, system ignition and much more. The possibilities are endless.
So I thought it was high time to create a place where all Mauritian Android fans will be able to discuss and read reviews on the latest Android gadgets and where the numerous Android users would be able to get support from the Android community. That’s how AndroidMauritius was born.
